Hi Guys,
Just to pick peoples brains....
I've clocked my TD04, everything is fine, cars been running and mapped for around a year now.
However, seems the cold side housing rotates itself, so much so that it stops the actuator arm working correctly causing weird things with boost!
When i clocked it, i did re-drill the hole for the locator pin but obviously this has not done the job. I thought that the clip thing that's horrible to remove would have clamped it all in place though and i see examples of people grinding off the locator pin totally and not reporting to have any issues.....
Anything blatantly obviously that stands out to anyone on why it rotates?

is there anything pulling on the cold side ? maybe you could relieve that tension.

Yeah now you mention it, ill have a look and see whether anything is pulling against it or the intercooler...
I'll see if it is under any unusual tension and see if there's any brace i could fabricate just to hold it still.

I would strip apart and re-assemble. I never used the pin on my old TD04, Its only there to aid assembly (times everything up).
Do you have the O-ring fitted that goes on the front of the bearing housing? The circlip that holds the compressor cover on is quite a tight fit when all assembled, you usually have to tap them gently with a hammer to get them to seat in the groove nicely.
