Developed with a mate of mine, would anyone else be interested in a short shifter for their mx5? Machined from single billet in stainless, reduces throw by 45%, wich with a shifter stalk about 2” longer than standard is absolutely spot on I can assure you! £135 posted. If ordering for a 6 speed you will need to remove your oem shifter and measure the diameter of the ball that goes into the cup of the gearbox (very easy) it will either be 15 or 20mm.

Alex - possibly in the future, but having now done this I really don’t see the need for metal bushings, the plastic ones add a bit of dampening that’s quite beneficial Really.

Really interested, However without trying one I’m not sold just yet. Anyone local to southampton have one? This is the problem, it's all about the weight and the placement / quality of the pivot. I've had 3 short shifters that visually looked very similar ... 2 were pretty bad and one was really good Russell

I will be at a sprint in Farnbrogh next Sunday, anyone welcome to come see what they think then!
I don’t think anyone’s going to try it and be dissapointed, it’s an extremely solid shift.
