Well it been stored in garage for 18 years..and last 6 months outside..so i gotta go right through..no clutch and brakes ceased on.. But it runs and instantly starts hot... It so far looks like zero welding needed or ever had any...its a bring back to former glory...fresh mot and service.. Poss oem plus like the s special....with few owner tweaks that maybe purist wont approve but easily reversed... They will be Mazda rx8 R3..sparkling black wheels and bonnet. The interior is time warp fantastic condition...this car however is carbs and dizzy so well out of my comfort zone...

Neighbour wanted to buy my mk1 after i started parking around front of house...she didnt realise it was 24 years old so roll on a few weeks and 65 plate 1.5 ND arrives on her driveway...managed to get myself a test drive. And the Old Skool FB project is home...my resto projects are getting bigger...eek!

Well, update time, been driving it a lot...choice of scooby wagon...Nah,,,shogun,,,Hell no,,,Rx7,,,maybe..Roadster..Yep...others have not had a look in since shes been back on the road. Im finding the Bilstein a bit harsh on bad roads but have settled on 25psi front and 24psi rear and this seems tobe a sweet spot for road driving...Ive still got this slight hiccup cut in power at 2k. when crusing only just covering throttle...brand new coilpack and ECT have not solved...Cas next and then onto o2 sensor...process of elimination by part changing as no codes in car...other than that loving it.

Thats my mates car Clive...its an rx8 with an rx7 engine with gt40 on it...Tein edfc and lots of Racing Beat goodies...competes in Nippon gt series...i spannered for him at Combe on monday...circa 400bhp. Theres a build thread on mazda rotary club forum...been alot of development of the last few years and it seems tobe paying off now..had a race win at Brands few weeks back...was upto 3rd and 2nd at combe but a spin in each race put him down to 8th and 6th...we changed an antiroll bar monday in the paddock trying to get the backend less loose!

Yep, they hurt occasionally too when they get you on the neck...sorted them out when i tried arm tethers but driving with them on is horrible...keep meaning to get some large rubber bands or o rings to keep the ends secure.
