Folks, I'm putting up for sale my RSR*R 4-1 Manifold for MK1 NA6CE - 1.6 litres ! This is a lovely JDM manifold and gives great performance at the top end. It's wrapped with a DEI (design engineering) fibreglass wrap and sealed with their high temp silicone spray. The flexi section is in good condition. ID out the CAT end should be about 2" to 2.25" This needs a MK1 1.6 cat or decat - it does not eliminate the cat part. Location is Skuzzle Motorsport in near Winchester. Price is £250 - you can collect from Skuzzle or a courier can be arranged. Original Photos of the mani are here the IMG* jpgs - trull.org/alex/media/pics/car/bits/RSR-4-1-NA6CE/A dyno graph of this manifold on my car - with reground cams and ITBs and a tiny head skim this is wheel horsepower figure, so add 20% to get flywheel figures.. this is what they look like unwrapped (not this mani but another like it): I'd recommend keeping the wrap on to keep under-bonnet temps down and keep heat in the exhaust to boost performance. Reason for sale - I've switched to a much more expensive maxim works 4-2-1 which has been ceramic coated. This was out of the RS Aizawa car.

hnnnnnngh
Want.
So it improves flow and therefore power at the top end?
Does it take out any torque from the mid-range at all?
Does it make a loud noise? lol
(And has the shiny new Maxin Works manifold made a different difference, if you know what I mean? lol)

Yes, this is a great manifold - definitely better than a standard 1.6, or any of the cheap EBAY ones. Probably a great option for a supercharged car too.
Almost certainly more top end power than the maxim if it had the same coating done. A few less torques tho. that's the 4-2-1 vs 4-1 trade-off for you.
The coating on my new mani is matte black, it isn't shiney at all hah.

A decent exhaust manifold is so underrated in terms of tuning improvements - people seem to bolt on loads of other bits first, perhaps air filter is cheaper and easier but this would be my first mod. One reason i bought my car is that it already had a decent exhaust on it. I believe (no scientific proof) that it greatly enhances the top end revs of the car which is perfect for track etc, Dont lose the resonator on the intake though as losing that and uprating the exhaust can cause the dreaded torque dip. Love the wrap, might be doing that to mine!
