No momentum at my local Tesco, on the subject, lot more activity on nutz than here, have we lost our lustre?

Nutz was always busier. This place is like the West Country. A slower pace of life.

This place is like the West Country. A slower pace of life. And with more cider...

Nutz is pretty dead at the moment, some big issues in the background meaning everything prior to last week is gone ... all the build threads, build guides, tech info etc. Shame in some ways but might be a chance to gain some more people over here? Be interesting to see if there's a spike in new members signing up

This morning all the tills at the Tesco petrol station seemingly just hung, meaning I was standing there with the nozzle in my hand and the guy came out to tell us that they couldn't authorise any requests from the pumps, therefore we'd all need to go to another petrol station
I would like to think that we're all too busy going out and actually driving our little topless cars in this weather!
If nutz has lost all the old thread content, that's a massive Canoe up and also a massive loss of knowledge base - I should have allocated half a day to saving and printing all my bookmarked threads when I thought about it the other week

This reminds me I should update my progress thread
If you feel momentum is reducing, post more threads!

I have to admit, this Millers EcoMax stuff has my 'Too Good To Be True BS Alarm' ringing... LoL I just am struggling to comprehend how it can improve running and engine internal cleanliness while also improving fuel octane rating and, therefore, power, so much so that it gives 1/3rd more MPG?! I don't doubt the good word of my fellow Mighty5 forumites it just seems incredible / unbelievable lol Is this the stuff? www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0049NC4X0As it's almost 18 quid for that pint-sized bottle, I am presuming one only uses a bit each tank??

It’s just in case I cant get any 98Ron fuel as this is what the car is mapped for & I want the anti knock protection. The bottle treats 10x 50L fill ups.

Be interested in more people doing a fill to fill MPG comparison of this stuff. Based on Khare's stats it pays for itself...

So when I use the Millers stuff next tank should give some interesting results. Tho... Might take me a while to get through the tank these days

I'm generally brimming it 3 times a fortnight (so that the petrol is about an inch below what looks like an expansion release hole in the side of the filler tube?) so I'll have to pick some up and report back! Looking back through my depressing number of petrol receipts and mileage figures lol, I'm currently managing c.520km between those fill ups, so 325 miles, which is usually off 38 litres brim-to-brim, so 8.4 (Imperial) gallons? So I'm getting 38 or 39mpg?? And as it's a 45 litre / 9.9 gallon tank, that means I have potentially another 95km / 59 miles 'spare' (so 384 miles per tank in all), despite already being below the bottom line on the gauge?? That seems crazy for a three-decade old engine running what must be pretty basic engine management! Especially when it's got a misfire and the timing seems wayyy advanced! If I can get a third more out of a tank, that would be, what, a 51mpg / 512 mile tank?! That is surely impossible lol *Note: I am Driving Miss Daisy until my timing is checked/sorted - the only thing I've overtaken on the motorway for months is a pick-up + burger van trailer combo, and a 1970s VeeDub camper wheezing along at 43mph, so I'm barely tickling the throttle while hoping not to get squashed by lorries!
