What are the pumps for? Transmission/Diff?

Heh, mhmm, they where cheap and barely used. A friend had them in a box. I've got converters and it should work, so I'll go with it. They will run at 50-60% capacity, but if i need to I'll get the 12v versions of the same pumps down the line. All fittings and footprint is the same. Most of the time they will probably run less flow with pwm. It flows about 2-3l/min normally, so passing the trans oil through the cooler once a minute or so. Time will tell if its enough. If not, 250ā¬ gets me 2 12v ones for double the capacity. Yes, trans and diff. Edit: I may have understood this wrong and the pumps will run at full speed anyway and pulling more current. In that case I worry too much š

I work slowly. But I have almost renovated and transformed my old bicycle into a gravel-isch bike. I'll get the toyster done eventually.

I derailed for a bit as I've written before. While waiting for car parts, motivation and such things I decided to tinker a bit with my old runaround bicycle. Now, I hadn't ridden it in something like 7 years and it being almost as old as me (my father bought it in -84) and rarely if ever taken apart and serviced, it was in a state of decay. Rust was abundant, but not horrible, the steering stem in particular. That took me two days to remove It was in desperate need of new wheels and tires, since I live close to gravel roads and forests, I went for gravel/adventure ones. I decided to keep the old stuff, including the old fauber crank. Its.... odd but classic. All the bearings on the bike are the races with loose balls or caged type, no sealed bearings here. All where in sad shape and I replaced all the balls. Some stuff had to go and my grinder had a quick talk with the frame to clean it up Not a thing was left untouched, everything was cleaned, greased or polished (to some extent). The saddle and pedals was beyond repair and got replaced. Of course, when refurbing, why not do it properly. I got the frame powder coated so that I can find it when parked. And after everything got adjusted and I test rode it I'm happy. Since it already was a lively color I kept going with a funky wrap. Now, I still need to do some things. The rear derailleur on this is the suntour trimec. It is and I do believe that it always was utter crap. So that has to go. If anyone has a suntour V-gt luxe / cyclone 2 or superbe they want to send me for beer money that would be awesome (yes, I am aware that the superbes are nice and expensive, but you know, good cause ) All in all though, I think i spent about 150gbp or so and I figure it was worth it. I'll get back to the car soon.

Does anyone know if sparco changed their mounting holes between the rev and rev qrt? Or if gsm changed their mounts?
I cant get a rev qrt to fit with gsm mounts, something that i thought was as easy as fitting a sprint V.
Very annoying. I think I'll go with skid nation mounts, they are supposed to fit. Can anyone confirm?

Well, I went ahead and added 2cm to the jb / gsm mounts with the welder. I had a 4mm steel plate at home, so that was good.
The seats are still hard to fit. They are wider than the sprints, and with the higher custom mounts i sit as high as in the sprints, if a lot more comfy.
I need to run them on a slight angle or get rid of my nb door cards. The latter is planned, eventually, but not now.

Thats odd, but I think vegas runs a quaife. Coolers are done, trans pump is noisy with cold oil, but its not supposed to run that way, hot oil and its sweet. Coolers, electrical, new oil pressure sensor, eh, leds inside of the cooling outlets in the rear bumper connected to the brake light š, 4 bar map sensor, rev seat(s) and probably some other stuff done. The new shifter is great but it transfers some vibration into the cabin. Since my car has a whole lot of nvh its not very important. Car is scary. I always forget how fast 334whp in an mx5 really is.

Did a nice 2 hour drive on the small roller coaster roads in the forests where i live (I live in rally hoods).
Everything is working fine and nothing fell off. I'm currently pondering rev limit. I've been running 7300 before with a 7200 soft limit. Since I'm forged etc I recently upped that to 7500 soft and 7600 hard limit.
This is great since I can do 0-100km/h in second with my 205/50 15's now. However. Since they go up in smoke if I apply full throttle in the first 3 gears in any conditions, I need to use my 245/40's for setting pub talk times. And on those I only do 98.8kmh in second.
I don't think I want to rev much more due to track reliability.
Would I be silly to raise the limit to 7800 for a few runs? Still 3 deg camber in the rear mind.

I've got an old g-tech. And ms logging of course.
I wonder if it can do a sub 4s in cold weather.
Hopefully I'll get a dry day with time to do it soon.
I wonder what it will do on a drag strip.(besides eating many parts of the driveline).
