Hi, I have put my entry in for the Watergate Bay Hillclimb. It is the first Hillclimb on a public road since 1925. It takes part on the coast road near Newquay in Cornwall A First for Cornish Motorsport. !! If my entry is accepted I will be in my Eunos Rs ltd ( I have still not finished My ITB car ) I ought to drive over to Watergate bay and have a look at the hill soon. Cheers Dickie

This looks amazing! Sadly I’m out of the country for this one but I’m hoping it will return next year, one for the diary for sure! Driven that road many times, it’s a good’un!

Hi Folks, I have just had an email to say that my entry has been unsuccessful. So I will have to be a spectator as well. Oh well all is not lost its the MGCC Wiscombe the weekend after.
Cheers Dickie

That’s a shame. I bet the number of entries was huge. I was tempted to put one in myself. I’m keen to go and spectate and have family down that way I can sofa surf with.

I put my entry in 20 mins after they opened, I thought as a member of one of the host clubs I would be in with a chance. It means another couple of hundred quid to spend on the ITB project car though.
I hope I get an entry for the MGCC Wis the weekend after. I have never driven the Eunos up Wiscombe, I usually use the Austin 7 and take it up Wiscombe twice a year.
Cheers Dickie

Hi Folks,
I have now had an entry confirmed as a few people have dropped out. I am now very happy ( Wife not so Happy ) I have at least one other MX in my class. Pikes Peak RS200 entered 900 BHP ! glad I am not in the same class. Metro 6R4 as well. It should be a great historic weekend.
Cheers Dickie

Well that was a great weekend of fun. I was the slowest Mx on the hill, at least I had the aircon to keep me cool before the start. The Hill is very challenging, much trickier than Wiscombe and Werrington. There are a couple of Vids on Utube.

How so - the vids Ive seen theres one hairpin and and hay bale chicane then all flat out?
