Rather than asking i just thought I'd share my thoughts on using the Renovo stuff for cleaning and waterproofing my roof. I didn't have any plans to 'review' this so no before picture but it wasn't in bad shape, just a little dirty and i wanted to be sure it was really well proofed. I bought everything in the picture below as a 'kit' off ebay for £30. The brush is really useful for the pre clean and the scrub and for the extra over just buying the Renovo bottles it was worth it for me. As is always the way with these things if you are methodical and take our time it pays dividends. Anyway I don't yet know how much better the waterproofing is but the roof looks amazing. As good as I could have hoped for, very pleased.

Oh there are different proofers for canvas (mohair) and vinyl roofs.

Great result. I use Renovo too, it's good stuff. Two coats of the proofer keeps the water beading on the roof for 5 - 6 months. Worst bit of application is protecting the windows and paintwork from drips. I use loads of dust-sheets and have a damp sponge to wipe off anything that seeps through.

If you do buy renovo, be sure to use it quickly. I had some, it seemed to have gone off after a year. barely wanted to apply to the roof...
