I have the electronic boost controller for the ME221:
motorsport-electronics.co.uk/product/boost-control-kit/
it came with the car and its plumbed in electrically but not mechanically, as in the hose to the wastegate is currently just looped into the boost hose.
It says on the site it comes with a printed manual to fit, does anyone have a copy of this at all, or can tell me how to plumb it in? I've only 1 hose from the pipe between the turbo and the intercooler going to the wastegate actuator, so if I interrupt that i'll have 2 pipes, but theres 3 connections.
Lastly, if I connect it up will the ME221 automatically relearn or will it run lean until its mapped?

You connect up the top plastic and the metal (right side) - top one goes to the waste gate actuator, right hand side one goes to a source of boost - the feed coming out of the compressor. the other plastic barb on the left is left as is. You can hook it up but leave it unpowered and it will act like a joiner between the two hoses. when it comes on power it restricts the pressure allowed through the valve. you'll want to get it mapped correctly before hooking it up to power.

Perfect, thanks very much, I'll hook that up today.

just make sure you can blow through the ports without it powered up

On mine the hose that will be going from the source of boost is on the turbo itself, where the snail joins the pipe to the intercooler. On my friends car his point runs from the top of the inlet manifold. Is there any difference between them?

the source that is closest to your compressor housing it always best. the pressure you get from behind the throttle body will have less pressure than that closest to the compressor, especially when you shut the throttle. Your wastegate will only really need to open at WOT so it doesn't make a huuuge difference.
