Anyone selling something that would be kind to tinycar for a few months whilst I don't get rained on/frozen to death by British weather? It's a Mk1 in case you have a Gucci 9 layer breathable custom job taking up space now you are driving a Mk4!

Sadly for you, mine will be going back on my mk1 soonish; but the ones from mx5parts do seem to work if you want to attract cats who think it's a sodding bed.

My cats think my vinyl roof is a bed anyhow I'm keeping an eye on a few on ebay....same Stormforce ones mx5parts sells - are they universalish or custom? Smart Roadster and Nissan 300Z sound like similar size to MX5 #cheapskate!

Might a hard top be an option?

I'd love one but funds do not allow and I'd still like a cover as planning on being away for a while...

I can recommend the ILM fitted ones, but, pennies.

cheapest option is to buy a weather-proof tarp (2nd hand?) and strap it down so it doesn't flap in the wind.

cars are also designed to be outside, car covers can induce accelerated rust as they tend to get a little damp/moist under there with condensation etc, whereas they would naturally dry out from wind/sun, so they are not necessarily the best idea. I dont use one because of this reason, i left one of my mazdas under a cover for a year and you could literally see the affects of corrosion when it was removed (albeit it hadn't been taken out for a year, was genuinely just sat there for the duration), so thats an excessive example.

Atlex, you have linky for those ITM ones - I'm watching some on eBay at the moment from some ladidah brand (check out how much a second hand aston martin cover costs for prarrie canoes and giggles - I'd have a new car for that!)
Tarp (or garage in a bag) doesn't pass the parental unit's feelings WRT landscape design....and ecksjay - yes - if I can't get a a decent breatheable one, I'm just going to get a cap for the roof and maybe bubblewrap between the two....it's getting to the stage where I need a new hood - but I've other priorities. I also ran out of time to ditrinol the prarrie canoe out of her this summer....which would make me feel happier about the forthcoming abandonment/swapping for a Honda Wave

where are you located? happy to loan you a hard top if you're nearby. they arent a bad investment either really as they're 300quid all year round. many buy them in the winter and sell in the summer.

I’ve got a cover in the garage I don’t use. Let me pull it out and see uf it’s any good. If it is you can have it. I’m on the Herefordshire/Gloucestershire birder so not far either
