Hey
What things are we planning on doing to the cars during lockdown?
I've been furloughed and have lots of time on my hands!
Any ideas?

Oh Dear,
I was furloughed on Tuesday afternoon and called back in on Thursday,
I now have a nice letter to show the police if I get stopped going to work.
So the Eunos is getting to drive on empty roads and free tolls on the bridge.
I had garage tidying shed tidying grass cutting etc on my list, I was hoping to sneak out and go boating now its stopped raining.
So we now have to work with a 2M stick to keep workmates away.
Actually we are in a large workshop with most of the staff sent home so its not a problem to stay apart.
We have had two Artics in to unload this week.
One from Germany and one from Poland so we kept the drivers at least 4 metres from us.

I'm 'working from home', bit of a bitch realy as I've lots to do (weld /repair/ preparation on a mk2 Escort RS2000 and a Cortina Lotus mk2 gearbox rebuild) in a mates garage where I'm freelancing  at home I've been filling a scrap car with, well, scrap  and sorting a 55-gallon plastic drum to caustic-soak a cylinderblock.... Rich. |

Although if you are 'freelancing' and not getting paid with brown envelopes, no sirreee.... it might be difficult to prove you are going to work if stopped  lol |

Although if you are 'freelancing' and not getting paid with brown envelopes, no sirreee.... it might be difficult to prove you are going to work if stopped lol I'm self-employed so declare earnings, freelancing was meant as 'outside-contracting' due to recently giving up the council unit I rented (bloody stupid idea as I've since discovered that theres an emergancy 'Wuflu' grant for small busnesses of ~£10K that I've missed by a month  ) Rich. |

I am working from home, and can actually do all of my job from here, so no more free time than usual. In fact less, because my wife is doing the same and we have to wrestle/homeschool the kids, and take turns during teleconferences etc, so if we can't do all our work in the daytime we need to do more in the evenings! At least we're still getting paid though, so I can't really complain.

So I've purchased a full set of bushes to replace the super worn ones on my car. Should keep me going for a while!
Also going to fit the bonnet lifters I got for Christmas and maybe service the car too

Polish your wheels, clean your car. If you've got ear buds you can even have a go at detailing lol. Sadly I'm not in a place where I've got a propper garage yet (or even most of my regular fettling stuff) so I'm doing whatever I can with what I've got. on the Music side I'm going to try and listen to some queen songs I don't know, since 80% of their output isn't on their greatest hits and those are the only tracks I really know.

I work from home most of the time anyway so not much difference for me. I work for a very large science/chemical/healthcare company so I’m actually as busy as ever. My company is one of the many working on a vaccine, diagnostics and treatments plus providing PPE etc. One of our plants in Germany is working with a large drinks manufacturer to make medical grade alcohol for hygiene and sterility!
I’m actually doing less on the car than normal but I haven’t got much to do other than clean it, which, if you ever see my car is a bit pointless, can’t polish a Log Canoe!
I might clean my garage out though👍🏼😀
