Wow!
Well that was unexpected.
This has to be the very best V6 out there. The build is just top draw and the intelligent selection of parts and execution of their cohesiveness is simply amazing. Someone is going to pick up a Super-Car for very little money.
I'm still shocked your selling it.
All the best. Regards. Rich.
ps. if I wasn't loosing my "shirt" building a new house I'd snap it up!

If I had any money I'd be hammering on the door, shouting 'shut up and take my money!!' A total steal - I think it would be hard to find a 5 with more character, that was more of an 'event'. With electronic speed limiters coming in two years, clogging everything up and giving the Kings of the Road more excuses to send in dash cam footage and ballooning vehicle sizes and creeping electronic nanny state BS everywhere, it's totally refreshing to drive something that's small, totally analogue, lovely and woofly to cruise round in, but also terrifyingly quick at full chat and liable to kill you if you Canoe it up lol I still think this needs a magazine article before it goes!

That's entirely fair enough A reminder that we need to Carpe Diem regularly, as things always change!

That was a fantastic overall thread and glad it went to a good home, it was a bit OTT for my 1st foray into MX5 ownership but I was sorely tempted as it seemed excellent value for money, I even had the missus convinced that it was feasible.

I am glad I had a couple of years getting used to the 1.8 before doubling the power. It was an animal under full acceleration with the V6. Too much for a first venture into fives as you say. Although there are times when all you need to have fun is a 1.6 / 1.8 Especially on tight little country roads. So really it depends where you drive, or where you want to have your fun times. A few of us swapped cars to try each others out. There are things mine did well - entertain with daft power on wide open roads. Yet there are things I preferred about Snomads car, on occasion. Horses for courses

Agree completely but naturally being the gifted pilot I am the power wouldn’t have been a problem 🥵 🤣 Still on the lookout for a 200bhp ish 5 that isn’t falling apart and is well sorted. The typical modifications / parts are still baffling to me but hey I’m learning but by bit.
Good luck with the bike stage.
Liam.
