THIS IS HOW IT ENDED UP................ 2015 ,august 12th i went to look at a mk1 , it was imported in 2005 by the owners grandad who owns a garage and is into his jap cars. the owner had covered just 20k miles in it since that time, the car has covered a total of 67k miles .......(109.000km showing on clock.) he got it up on the lift in his grandads workshop for me to view , it looked really solid,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so i made an offer , left a deposit , he put 12 months MOT on it and delivered it to me the next day. the hard top was sold that weekend as this was just to be a nice weather/fun car. the headlight vent also had to go ,replaced by the original ,supplied to me with the car, then i set about cleaning , tinkering ,fettling and polishing........... ALL PICTURES LOST DUE TO PHOTOBUCKET PROBLEMS...........FEEL FREE TO READ IT ALL BUT ITS NOT SAME WITHOUT A FEW PICS....... ANYWAY.....THIS IS HOW IT ENDED UP... from this,,,,

the engine bay was next on the list.. this is how it looked after a good fettle... i decided that since having the timing adjusted to 14 degrees , and having a little oil leak from the CAS that i'd change the seal and cam cover seal too... making progress finished up like this.. i did spray the strut brace brackets,,,,,but i was not happy with them...

the 6 holes in the front bumper caused by other people mounting/remounting the number plate really bugged me. so i had an idea.. i marked out the larger holes to incorporate the smaller screw holes and cut them out with a hole saw, painted inside the cuts all black.. i think it looks "meaner".............lol
