Hello All,
Lurked for a long time so I thought I'd post.
Got a very early red Mk1 Jap import. Done some mods to it. Detail below.

Refurbed 15” E30 BBS then decided I didn’t like them and got 14” Watanabe Meister R Sportive suspension (more potholes than road where I am) WIM Fast Road alignment Polybushed ARB and drop links NS2R Mintex m1144 pads Millers Racing brake fluid
Engine and exhaust
Cam cover painted and gasket replaced with genuine Mazda item New coolant temp sensor New pcv valve Stoney Racing Silicone Hoses JDM Ultra 8mm HT Leads NGK Plugs Standard airbox with K&N panel filter and DIY Randal cowl intake ME221 AFM Delete GM IAT Blink Race spec cylinder head Kent reprofiled cams Rebuilt Long-nose bottom end Jasma 4-2-1 manifold Decat RS Factory N-Zero 2 exhaust Suzuki cappuccino washer bottle relocation Lightweight Flywheel Standard injectors cleaned and flow tested all seals replaced M2 Alloy radiator IL motorsport engine mounts Mishimoto sandwich plate HKS oil filter
Interior
Mostly standard Nardi wheel various trim removed Voodoo shift knob rebuilt shifter Centre console delete Stack mechanical oil pressure gauge
Exterior Fibreglass front wings Hardtop with Jass fixed brackets TSI from moss Stickers. GC fab roll bar GC fab strut bar
Starting some more interesting mods in the next weeks and months. Got a GCF roll bar and ECU to go in, but time and other priorities tend to get in the way of progress.
Lessons have been learnt (30 year old cars definitely have some interesting history and rust) but all in all good fun. I also have a 3d printing connection so will hopefully get some more interesting bits made in the future.
Pics to follow once I find some and figure out how to do it.

How do you find the NS-2Rs BTW?
I've been remarkably surprised by them in inclement weather, given how little tread they have, but I find they are a bit 'square-shouldered' and turn-in can perhaps be a bit more 'binary' than a rounder-shoulder tyre, if that makes sense??

They are a damn sight better than ditch-finders they replaced. According to my local garage they were 'quite Canoeed'. Pretty sure they were the tyres I got when they were on it and they were well past it.

Also fitted refurbed injectors with new oem seals. The old ones where filthy. The old seals were welded to the inlet manifold were rear canoe to remove. Definitely runs good and no subtle injector tick anymore. I re fitted a better cowl air feed ducting. Silicone rather than card/paper ducting. .

A word on HT leads, I'm a sucker for JDM bits. I find some brand new boxed 'ULTRA power plug leads'. They crap all over the Jackson racing leads I had originally. They never seemed to seat well and went quite rigid after a while. The ultra leads have very robust connectors and and seem to vacuum suction onto the plug. I believe racing beat also make them. I have a used set knocking about. The packaging has lots of interesting diagrams and graphs on it. .

I got a AFM delete printed and plated. Looks really nice I will probably paint it black for added oem-ness.

It does. You can't just remove the AFM but you can if you have mappable ecu and Iat sensor. It's a more up to date and less restrictive solution.

Ah, cool, I thought so - I was confused because the list in the OP doesn't mention an aftermarket ECU! I did just re-read and notice the new part was 3D printed, though - that's pretty cool Is it metal or plastic??
