This month "celebrates! 15 years of owning both of them. The 2002 Sport is "hers" The Roadster is mine. Purchased within 4 months of each other. Mine came second as it became apparent getting the Sport's keys was a dangerous exercise in futility. Both have been game changers in driving experiences, usually for the good when I'm not shelling out on rot eradication. Doubt either is going anywhere soon. In fact, looks like we will be getting a wee mint & boxed Fiesta 1.25cc Zetec for general use. The 5's will be for sunny dry weather Scottish forays only.

Sunny dry weather Scottish forays? So you're only taking them out once a year? lol I love Scotland, I hope to get back there but this time in a 5 - it's just a looonnnnnnng way sitting at 4-5k rpm on the motorway for hours... lol Which wheels are on the NA? Are they the minilite copies that are also very light?

Thanks guys. The rims are formerly ScottyDugg's OEM PanaSports. I had them sanded & repainted in of all things Poxhall Cursa alloy silver, plus cheapo Amazon "Mazdaspeed" centre caps....held on with a smear of Locktite or summat. I'll get them done again professionally next year though...a bit rough tbh. Pretty rare now so I'd not want to ding one.

Not too keen on spit roast Tourist. They can be a bit fatty but rump of lean cyclists slow cooked in red wine, herbs and shallots are very palatable.

Been a while. Generally coming out of hibernation bit by bit. Been busy with the Mk1 fettling./ Nowt radical. New Prestige hood. Out with the Autobox after 15 years, and in with a 5 speed courtesy of Andrew at Autolink who did the work. Replaced the 4.1 diff...wit a 4.1 diff. That's it folks. Stay safe.
