I bought a 2009 Mk3.5/nc2 SportTech on Saturday and drove it all the way from Plymouth to Worcester (around 160 miles) and the car performed faultlessly with no untoward warning lights.
It has been parked up ever since (other than to move it on the driveway on Sunday morning). I decided to go for a spin after work today and as soon as I started it 2 orange warning lights were showing on the dash. The ABS light and the TCS/DSC Indicator light.
I carried on with my drive hoping that they would reset themselves. I turned the ignition on/off several times although each time the lights stayed on.
The car seemed to drive completely normally with no untoward noises etc.
Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?
Thanks
David

You have some bulbs in the dash that need to be removed? If you can get the fault codes read, that will help point at something specific Oh, and Welcome to the forum! Get some pics up if you are happy to do so!

time to pick up an obd2 bluetooth code reader, they aren't expensive. the carista ones are quite good too.
don't be afraid to disconnect and reconnect the battery either.

10 minutes. this isn't really a magic bullet but on more modern cars if the car is 'fine' but there are warnings, it's a step you can at least try and unconfuse the confusers.
disconnect the ground wire on the battery then try turn the lights on to clear any residual electrickery.
