There I was having a browse and found this. David Roscoe made lots of films of Motorsport. Enjoy what the venues looked like when I were a Lad.
Not an Mx5 in sight but many classics.

A lot of the 750 formula cars were exactly that . The 1172 Formula car were a bit posher They were home built scrapyard specials. Lotus cars started like this.

Love it. Those shots of Classic Brands Hatch just make me feel a bit sad. Best track.

This is awesome If it had a Ferrari badge it would be worth $$$$$$$$$ as a 1 of 2, I'm sure, but I'm also sure it's worth nowhere near that much, despite being super rare! Cool that you're working on it Is it yours or are you the designated spanner monkey? lol

Cool that you're working on it Is it yours or are you the designated spanner monkey? lol Yep, not worth a lot, as Dickie says, it's a special built around mundane Ford pop parts. Best price for a fully restored Buckler, or one with competition history, is about £20-25k. I don't own this one, I share the spannering and driving with my buddy Simon, who has another 3 Bucklers (one 100E with Elva head, an E93A engined one, and a DD2 with 2.5L Daimler V8). I'm in the process of acquiring one with BMC running gear. The one below is eligible for historic racing at Goodwood, so we hope to run it at the Revival in the next couple of years:

The Buckler is another example of a home built car leading onto limited production runs. There used to be a Buckler in my home town looking very much like an early Lotus 7. I used to have a Speedex 750 which was of the type of car seen early in the film, Speedex was built by Jem Marsh He went on to form Marcos cars. The post second world war kit car and specials building was the kindergarten for many of the well known car names.
Buckler Cooper Lotus Marcos Maclaren Lola Mallock And loads of others
