Nice work and lots of skids, love it! Bleddy ell you talk fast though Apologies, must be the combo of Devonshire and nervousness on camera lol. Cheers though. Bit of a thread revival, sold both mx5's about 2 years ago. Spent last couple years doing bike track days but got an itch for something boosty again, after looking at a couple cars I was chatting to guitaristanime on the mx5nutz forum and he mentioned he had started to strip his green turbo mk2 to sell in parts (some of you probably know or recognise the car). Anyways me and Ben came to a deal and I am now in the process of bringing it back to life! Collected with trailer, runs and drives but currently in non turbo guise, no MOT and with interior half stripped plus various small parts missing etc. 95% of the main bulk of the bits are all with it, so just a case of re-fitting and changing things to how I want them. Current to do list is: -Replace cambelt and water pump. -Look at coolant leak Ben told me about, from water pump inlet area. -Re-fit turbo stuff and possibly clock and move pipework around for intercooler. -Re-fit interior/dash etc. -Look at rust. -MOT -TRY TO HOLD MYSELF BACK FROM WELDING THE DIFF AND DRIFTING IT SENSELESS :ROFLMAO:

Made a short video about the coolant leak from the water pump inlet housing, previous owner had told me he thought there was a leak from the small pipe on the end, which it may still be leaking from, however I found the actual aluminium had corroded through in a bit of a weird place on the inlet housing, forgot to take any pics other than after I had repaired it but will add those later. Here's a short Youtube vid. You can also see in the thumbnail I have bolted the turbo and manifold back on

Ha ha your right atlex , probably won't come off if it doesn't leak now As you could see from the thumbnail turbo and manifold all on, clocked the turbo a bit and had to adjust the actuator bracket, made up something rough to get the spacing correct, I might flip the actuator back on top with a different bracket, or clock the turbo back closer to where it was before but I like the pipe routing now. Started mocking up the intercooler pipework. Might change slightly but this is the current rough idea.

Things are moving forward, have the intercooler mounted and the 2 couplers I was waiting for cut down and fitted, rad sat where it's going to be and top brackets extended and painted. Still need to add some supports to the side of the fan as had to chop the bottom half of the outer plastic legs down to clear the ARB so it's just sat there loose for the minute. Need to look at what I'm doing with the air filter as now doesn't really fit in the original space, just stuffed it in there lol. Maybe buy another one or possibly relocate with some pipework, haven't decided yet. Then it's bleed the coolant system, fit the exhaust, check turbo oil feed and hopefully get it running in the not too distant future
