Hello All,
I recently acquired a fujitsubo super ex 4-1 manifold for a 1.6.
I'm wondering what opinions are on these - I already have a hks 421 fitted.
Would this yield any gains over the 421?
Any thoughts appreciated.

legend has it a 4-2-1 should give a bit more area under the curve under 6500 and a 4-1 ought to shine more over 7000. but frankly, on our cars, I doubt anyone notices the difference. far from a perfect like for like test.. but at least the same dyno.. and same car... this is with a f-con gold piggyback ecu and an RS*R 4-1 mapped for 99, mapped by one of the rotary tuners down south trull.org/alex/media/pics/car/mx5/whitena/SkuzzleRR-20180224-oldecu.jpgand this is with an me221 and a ceramic coated (inside and out) Maxim 4-2-1 again mapped for 99 trull.org/alex/media/pics/car/mx5/whitena/SkuzzleRR-20180323-newecunewmani.jpgI guess if you're willing to do two dyno runs you can find out for yourself. The HKS might break, it's good to have a quality spare. the maxim is considered one of the best 'off the shelf' exhausts money can buy along with some of the fujitsubo models, RS-R also are considered great, so are HKS.... and the cusco powerball.. |

Thanks for your thoughts Atlex, I'd been looking into it but not seen anything conclusive. I've got a good spares horde going on now.... girlfriend not too happy. I've got 2 short motors and 3 cylinder heads. All JDM 1.6. Running low on garage space. And now 2 manifolds. Doh.
