Message for the more knowledgeable people, my boot release cable and the key barrel are not releasing the boot lid on my NB FL. Please PM me a way to gain access to release my boot lid, my house keys are also trapped in my boot 😩 All ideas appreciated !

this really sucks huh. firstly, check under your arm rest console - it may be the lever got disconnected from the cable, in which case just pull the cable. but if it's the catch itself... "You remove the lic. plate, drill out the plastic plug, take a small flat screwdriver and flip the catch. TADAA!" per forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=64257Also it can help to push down on the lid while using the key to open it, vaguely resetting the mechanism. |
