So looking at buying a second car and any help would be appreciated as I'm really prarrie canoe at making my mind up.
Looking at a maximum budget of £4K for the car (ignoring tax/insurance).
so what would you lot recommend? Ideally after a 4 door with fold down rear seats as looking at doing track days and would be good to get tools and tyres in the back. A tow bar would be a plus as I could then trailer the 5.
help!

Ford Focus Estate. I had an old prarrie canoeter one for a bit, Ron will vouch for how useful it was getting all his aircon units in the back. Massive inside and the 1.7 tdci engine is quick and torquey, I drove it ever where in three gears. 2, 3 and 5.

Volvo diesel. I'm still looking to get myself one but I'm partial to a 740 and manual diesel ones appear to be rocking horse faeces
