My Mk2 is a UK Spec so doesn't have one, and the one on the Mk1 is completely different so I can't even test on her car. The plot thickens!

it does remind me of my mk2.5's seatbelt warning. the sound is similar. reminds me of the point a few minutes in when the beeping has gotten to the point of giving up.

the beep increases in frequency every 10-15 seconds until it gives a terminal unbroken beep and stops, in disgust at your breaking the law.
