Another noise thread. This time not a beep. I've had a paddle clutch put in along with a lightweight fly. The car is driving fine and I'm fairly used to the higher revs needed But there is a mild noise meshing noise coming from the transmission when I'm driving and the car is coasting or slowing. It also goes away if I push the clutch pedal to disengage it, or accelerate the engine. Guessing this is just a normal result of my new bits ? I'd guess lower mass fly and stiffer clutch means more noise transfer..

one of mine does exactly the same, has done for the past 3 yrs and never had anything go bang. Its more annoying than anything, almost like the clutch plate is dragging on something. Dropping the roof or turning up the radio cures it D

PPF alignment could be a cause and with the box being removed sounds like it hasnt been aligned back up.

Off topic, but it saves me starting a new thread. How bad is the paddle clutch day to day? My car isn't my daily but I may end up going on longer trips in it from time to time with some potential for traffic!

if I had to commute daily in 'town' traffic I'd never fit a paddle. you have to rev quite a bit in the stop-start, it just isn't fun.
longer trips, no problem. pretty much the only thing it sucks for is first-gear take-offs.
you wouldn't even know you had a paddle clutch in all 15mph+ driving.
