I've got a smurf blue mk1 and I want to make it different without spending a fortune. It's on Daisy's and I'd like to keep them as they are small and light. The other reason, I'm loving standard suspension right now. I've had low mx5s and driving this one is a breath of fresh air. Obviously doesn't look as good but it means I don't have to shell out on decent suspension and new wheels.
So I've got a bit of an idea but I'm not sure if it would be too much (wanting to see examples or hear opinions (doesn't mean I'll listen).
Im thinking... Re colour the Daisy's gloss white (theybare a little tatty at the present).
White side stripes win either 'roadster' or 'Eunos'
and...
possibly an off centre wider stripe with a narrower kne down the passenger side length of the body.
Im loving the idea of white wheels against the blue and like the lower side stripes. I've seen these for sale on eBay and I know a few guys on the Facebook pages make them. What I'm unsure about is the top stripes. Going across the bonnet, boot windscreen surround etc. Would it be just too much?
Any pictures welcome.

I may most likley get an oem r package lip and rear extension also as I'm not sure my retro race look will pull off a gv (especially as I'm not lowering).

Also, any chance a mod could change the title to 'Had' a bit of a plan... Instead of hit. Thanks

I just Googled "blue mk 1 eunos" and hit the images button, www.google.co.uk/search?q=blue+mk+1+eunos&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwieuqjKhrfMAhVESiYKHZxNAO4Q_AUIBygBI have a black bonnet and a pair of black headlight covers for you to play with if you like,£20 the lot collected from South Leeds. There is a couple of MK1 Escorts, with nice stripes on that images link, might give a vynil idea, maybe. I like the Daisys in aluminium colour,so get some of your special wheel cleaner guff blasted on em,if they don`t come up well,i have a decent set for £30 again, collected as i`m off the road at the mo.

I agree 100% on the keeping it standard thing. I love my Mk2 on daisy's, drives like a dream and dare I say it better than a standard mk1, and certainly better than my modified mk1 did. My better half has a completely standard mk1 Eunos, pretty much mint condition and it looks great - I'm wanting to find a very good condition UK car at some point and hide it away. If you csn get a side on picture, I csn photoshop the sidestripes and white wheels on for you, I did it for a friend a while back. But they always look great. Also, edited your title

daisies, done in a dull silver, with decent wheel nuts (not the standard ones, I mean open-ended ones like 949 do or similar) are perhaps the sexiest wheels for this car (followed by, erm, the hollow spoke 15"s they made too). They're right when they say the 7 spoke gives it a sort of dynamism too.

My VR Ltd is on 14s with standard bilstien suspension at the moment and it is Tre Bon! Got a set of Gaz Classics to go on it at some point but they need refurbishing first as 2 of them leak.

I like those wheel centres Atlex. I removed the round plastic centres on the Daisy's to give them a more aggressive look but I'm 50/50 on them. I also feel the black works well on that car as it has other black stuff but I've already got clear repeaters/ reflectors etc.
Thanks for the title change boringgit.
Alive, the link just takes me to a page on Google. Should there be a specific one I'm looking at! I'd rather not change the body panels. Quite happy with the blue at the minute but that's for the offer.
