Hi Chaps. Hoping one of yourselves with more knowledge than I could possibly advise? Have been looking at buying another eunos roadster, particularly a s-ltd version. Problem I am having is with insurance, I'm being given the runaround big time.
I havn't driven for 5 years so no no claims. Said car will be my only vehicle, but won't be used unless go to meets or garage for repairs. I use my legs and bike for daily transport as I'm still able to physically move under my own steam.
Am having major problems trying to get classic car insurance for said car and quotes for standard insurance are £1000+ Classic places I have rung want me to have a minimum of two vehicles and I'm just not that rich. Have rung all major ones footman, Lancaster, flux, performance direct etc etc. Anyone else had this trouble and overcome it? Any help or advice would be most gratefully appreciated. Best regards, Oni.

Try Greenlight - they seem pretty accommodating, although don't forget that all of the brokers use the same insurers, some of whom are better than others.

HIC insure me. I believe they require me to have access to another car though. Performance Direct insured me before. No problems with either. On the 2CV I use Grove and Dean.

Insurance finally put me off the road last year,i`m 51 with a clean full licence, held for over 30 years, had 1 minor claim made against me which i disputed, they still payed out £2000.00+ for £500.00 max damage to the woman who drove into the back of me whilst parked. Insurance companys i will NEVER use again are, fOOTMAN jAMES, Adrian Flux, The Co-op or Swinton, they are all canoeing s#its.
As above, try Greenlight, Lancaster or keep looking and if they don`t sort you out at a real price, buy a pushbike, like i have had to. Chunts. Very best of luck. .

Another vote for Greenlight. Easy to deal with and a good price.

Yet another vote for greenlight, at 24 they got me insurance on my turbo 5 with a long list of mods at half the price admiral (who have actually been very good for me over the years on standard cars) wanted to insure it as a standard car!

I can't remember - do Greenlight do Agreed Value policies? If so, what do they need to evidence price??

After four years with another insurance broker I went with A-PlanTheir specialist car/club branch talk a lot of sense and what swung me was UK and European cover for an extra £35. Cheers, Pewe.
