good job hammeriting the diff I gave it.. many coats. - similar, but I didn't bother with the ally bits, just the rustable iron ones.

Are you gonna drill the holes in them like the factory ones have or not bother?
Also, if not, any idea how this may have a detrimental affect? i.e. are they used as a drain or something for WATA or something?

........good point. Yeh they are going to be drilled so they can drain & also means your able to get some waxoil or similar up in there Fully welded on the bottom & going to be sticking it to the floor a bit more from the inside once the car is down off the lift. Not sure what they drain but appaerntly at the back of mine was large amounts of mud and grass.....which is strange as I haven't been on grass for a LONG time & I'm not the gardening type.

I think you're going to have the only completely rust free mx5 in the UK. For Canoes sake Oliver, make sure you wax oil every last part of thay car!
