B16/B18 Mx5 anyone? I know from the time spent behind the wheel of my previous Dc2's, even a stock B16 would be absolutely perfect in an mx5 chassis.
Here's one in an escort, OK, it's 230bhp and tuned to the back 9's but.. listen to it.
I would LOVE a b16 mx5, yes you can tune the stock motor in NA form but it's never going to bark like an on song Veeeeetec!

There's a few Vtec Miata's about but they all use the S2000 engine.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't say no to an F20 mx5 but i'd much rather a b16/b18 I much preferred the B18 engine in my dc2 to my S2000. Both stock(ish) The B16/B18's are much peakier, and they sound bloody awesome with a decent intake/exhaust. Just a shame they spin CCW  |

Was watching mk2 escort video's (to get my weekly fix) and that popped up! I emailed dr keith mcmullan who created the lump for that escort, see if he messages me back regards to the conversion to make the engine spin the right way! |
