I'm thinking about ditching my sun visors. They seem too lumpy and get in the way. So I was thinking about having a subtle grey tinted strip across the top of the screen instead.
Anyone else down this?

I was thinking the exact same thing last night. The 2 piece sun visor things are crap

I'v done it. Replaced with some jass blanks (or, his interior light blanks). Wear sunglasses. No regrets.
The JDM mk1 sunvisors are decent, since they fold in two and so on. But they all seem to fall to bits rather fast.

I like my JDM 2 piece ones as they sit nicely out the way... But at 6'3" they're pretty useless at the best of times

I really love my 2-pieces. I've another MX5 with normal visors and it's annoying fiddling with them each time I want to drop or put up the top. Not a fan of sunstrips either, I've had one when I was racing (part of race series obligatory livery) and it was a pain at every other traffic light.

I had boring standard visors, I'm too tall for them to be of any use so I got rid of them.

I'm short so didn't need to get rid of them, did it mainly as I'm too lazy to keep moving them to put the roof down eBay £2 sunstrip did the job, like Moro said, they can be a pain at traffic lights, but you get used to it. Plus, think of all the weight saving...

Removed mine, added the little blanks we sell at work, got light-reactive lenses and a baseball cap, job done :-3

I like mine. Kinda.
They hold my loose soft-top catches up when the roof is up.

I like the earlier split ones, not a fan of the one piece ones.

I want to fit mine on the outside so I can flip them up and direct the airflow away from my head, and also stop the setting sun from blinding me when it's just above the frame lol

Doesn't work in all situations or on twisty roads as it's only possible to cover a small area at a time, but was great on a straight dual carriage way this morning
