Been trying to get my head around low impedance injectors, how the mx5 uses high impedance and the Speeduino can only run high impedance. Seems this has a couple of opinions on the correct way to get them to run. I'm none the wiser just now.

and BOFI's is way overpriced sayin fuckall........
I have bought selected items from them BUT always compared prices & looked for discount-codes Rich. Yep, I got the bias valve from carbuilder.com, as they're all the same (even Bofi's video said that) - about £20 cheaper. The first inline connector was £1.20 from Carbuilder, the second connector I picked up from the local motor factor for 75p, Bofi's costs £5.80! Still, if it works, it'd be worth it.

The new connector arrived yesterday, and has the same inner flange seats as the OEM distribution block, so should sort the issue. When I was looking at it the other night I thought it would be possible to reroute the main hard line that goes along the bulkhead to the nearside front caliper so that it just goes straight into the master cylinder connection, but using this connector saves the faff of doing that (and potential danger of breaking the 30+ year old hard line and having to replace that too!). Hope to get it fitted over the weekend...

forget hardlines & look @ braided? hose is ~£5 / metre and 'ends' are around the same easy diy assembly for full racecar / scene-points Yeah I've got some braided cable to make up some rear lines (already have braided at the front, whoever fitted the 1.8 Sport calipers to the front didn't touch the rears) - just need to get the ends sorted. The banjos at the caliper ends have an extra proboscis that secures the line to stop it rotating, and I can't find them anywhere; also need to work out about the block on one side, whether it can be re-used or if I need to find a new one.

It came complete with a rain rail and all of the trim so I can see whats what and then decide which to use, my existing one isn't leaking at all just the rear window stitching has failed.

Hi Folks, I have had the 200 cell cat welded into the M2 De cat pipe, The weekends task was to mock up a short section of pipe to link the Cat to the manifold tailpipe, It has had to be a dog leg to line up the two sections, I thought that I had some 316 Mig wire to tack it together but I have lost it or used it up. I have put some masking tape reference points on the three componants and will take it into work on monday and have it tacked up so that i can check it all lines up before final welding, once thats done and its OK I will mark out for the new O2 bung and get that installed.

Sounds a good deal then, got mine for just as cheap. I think the mk2 roofs stis a little higher with the bracing. Hope you get on well with it.

Fitted the new Bofi inline connector to the front brake lines, it tightened up nicely with no leaks, so I bled the calipers again (and the rear passenger side a couple of times to make sure, since I'd changed the piston). Took it out for a spin, and many lockups later I had adjusted the brake bias valve from as little pressure as it would send to the rear brakes, to the maximum amount (fully screwed in), and it didn't really seem to make a huge difference - the fronts still locked every time, and I think the rears were joining them towards the end. Maybe my 1.8 Sport front brakes will always just overpower the stock 1.6 rears?

Hi, I think you found the Big Brake inbalance problem. My old super charged car had willwood 4 pots on the front and stock back brakes with no balance adjustment. ( bought it like that ) Loads more braking at the front with the backs no doing much. I suggest that you look into softer grippier pads for the back end to help it bite more.

Hi Folks, I am finally find it out how to insert pictures.
Here is the final welded up link pipe between the Simpson Racing manifold and the M2 Motorsport system. I have to cut some slits in the manifold slip on coupling then the Manifold will go of to Zircotec for a nice ceramic coating to hide the stainless steel. I will wrap the Cat in Basalt as it seems that I melted the glass wrap on the other Cat. This car has never been driven on Salted UK roads and has only been registered in the Uk during the first Covid Lockdown.
