Hi there
my names ben im new around here looking to get myself an mx5 as my daily
i have a mx5 powered westfeild built by myself from a scrapper i got off a mate
i currently have a budget of 1000 maybe 1500 for the right car i was hoping for mk1 will my budget get me what i want

1000-1500 will easily get you a Mk1, but you'll have to be focused on condition more than spec. Choose the car with the least rust regardless of spec and you'll get something worth having for that money.

Ive seen some cracking deals come up on the facebook groups, I definitely wish id have known about those before I bought mine!

joined a few facebook groups we will see what comes up im in no rush for a car so will just keep looking until i find the right one
i was going to look at a mk2 california today but upon checking its past mot history its been riddled with rust for the past 5 mots so im asssuming its just been covered up each time to get it through the mot
thats why im in the market for a mk1

hang in there bunje.. be careful what car you buy  there's good ones out there, just be very careful and check everything. maybe take jacks so you can check underneath correctly too. |

well im back i never got around to buying in the above post but ive sold my westfield and ive purchased a rough mx5. it will mainly be a track car im picking it up this afternoon and ill stick some pictures up
