For sale is my 1990 MK1 MX5 Eunos S-Special which was imported into the UK in 2004.
The term **Rust Free** is punted around frequently in MX5 circles, however I can assure you that this is an original metal/never welded example, which are becoming increasingly hard to come by.
Mileage is currently sat at around 144 kilometres (89,000 miles) Car is fitted with a road angel as the clocks still read KM, so not only a true speed reading but it will also warn you about those pesky cameras.
M.O.T until may 2017 (front ARB was an advisory on the last and was replaced immediately)
Recent Oil change and brake fluid top up by Carl @ CBS autos ( “”THE”” MX5 guru )
Classic (SU) red with black leather and suede interior really gives the car its “period” look. The Interior itself is in very good condition for its age. With recently trimmed suede door cards it is a lovely place to be.
15 x 7 HRS alloy wheels are the only visible exterior modification that makes the car not look standard ( I have a set of standard looking five spokes that can come with the car )
1600cc engine with a HKS turbo kit - MS2 ECU – 420cc Yellow RX8 injectors – Intecooler – Oil cooler – full exhaust including de-cat. AEM wideband and boost gauge up front to keep an eye on things. Mapped by Chris @ EFI parts 212HP & 211 ftlb @ peak psi 13.9
Type 1 Torsen Limited Slip Differential
Gaz Gold coil overs ( recently had the geometry redone )
TR Lane Roll Bar
MK2 control arms that have been poly-bushed
MK2 Mohair roof with heated glass rear screen. No brittle faded plastic windows to deal with
Double din Pioneer stereo (Bluetooth/AUX/USB) and Vibe Coaxial speakers that have been mounted with sound deadening.
Now I will completely undersell the car here as I am obsessively picky.
The car is 26 years old, the paint work is good but not perfect.
The HRS wheels would benefit from a refurbishment.
The electric aerial fitted does not work and I've not looked into as I generally stream everything to the head unit.
The car will come with standard black plastic instrument cowl and steering column cover along with a period correct Momo steering wheel not the Nardi in the images.
£5500 If you know your MX5s you know what these are worth and how quickly prices are rising.
Have a full set of pictures and can take more on request for potential buyers.
Please allow at least 90 minutes for viewing so we can completely go over the car.
Should you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch
