so another late night picking up parts; new exhaust, steering wheel (yay) and front wings ready to go on, not all required but insanely cheap for what it is. More bits to follow once he can get them off his car, pics to follow this weekend

Off came the front bumper and wings, new ones ready to go on (new wings are still standard just better condition, and only a tenner!) ordered new headlight lids, one had snapped off and is probably still on the M27, the other had broken anyway so I ripped it off, very odd feeling breaking your car on purpose! Jumped into the car and replaced this

With this Still not the prettiest but it'll do until I can get a decent efini standard wheel On went the exhaust, mid pipe and backbox, it's pretty damn loud to be honest And a cheeky vid (ignore the smoke, that's now gone)

Up next is a few smaller bits and pieces; egr in the exhaust system to blank off, spark plugs and leads, front bumper and wings, another oil change, fabricate a mount for the oil cooler and screw the plastic interior into place

A few bits and pieces done over the last few weeks, spent most of the day yesterday doing stuff too but it seems like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Replaced 2 of the 4 spark plugs, followed the leads to replace them, unfortunately they sit behind everything in the engine bay so off came the whole air intake and throttle body, then found out the plugs sit behind the coolant reservoir so I'll have to drain that and start from there next time. I then got fed up swore loads and contemplated selling it. Then I thought I'll get the wheels off as 3 of the 4 are flat and see the wheel specs and get some new tyres ordered... then found buckles... so now that's gonna need to be sorted before the new tyres go on. Many more swearings and looking up how much I could get for the 7 in its current state... 17x8j and 17x9j though, makes my 5s 16x7j look like Lego wheels

I decided to cheer myself up with a few interior parts and fitting the exterior panels. New efini steering wheel in (love it) And new headlight covers on along with 1 front wing and the front bumper, the other wing is just hanging in situ for now as I need to grind a captive nut off and I ran out of time. Did the trick though, cheered me up as it now looks like a proper car again rather than just a breakers car. Patience is running thin however! Still need to fit the 2nd wing, remove the reservoir to fit the new leads, find and replace the other 2 spark plugs, fit the egr pipe, fit rear brake pads, fog light and more interior plastics, boot lid, door trims, get the engine running again and then get it compression tested to find out what's also wrong with it. And get the wheels unbuckled and new tyres. And finally painted. Apart from that it's a show car

That steering wheel looks ace. Cheers dude, it was the original one and quite hard to find, loved it as soon as I saw it but it's taken me months to find one for sale at a reasonable price (most are up for £250+)
