plan for the weekend is;
Grind one mounting point off where the front arch attaches as a bolt thread is stuck inside and wont come out. Properly fit the front bumper Properly fit both front arches Fit the new brake disks (and hope it doesn't need pads) Fit the new wheels Possibly fit the new downpipe, if it needs it. Lower back off the axel stands and take many pics
then I think all that's left is; properly fitting the oil cooler now we know it works fitting any interior pieces it still needs (most bits are just sat in place) adjust the back box so it isn't melting the bumper get a new set of plates made up fit a rear fog light get a new windscreen fitted... no idea where from yet or how much itll be... no doubt it wont be cheap Finally a check over with someone far more knowledgeable than me, respray and MOT

So that list barely got touched, started on the brake disks and realised I'd ordered the wrong ones. Finished off a prarrie canoe Saturday all round and ended up hanging about helping Roger with his Jimny instead.
Booooooo to you Saturday. You sucked

Oh and I need to source a set of 4 front disc to hub screws, they appear to be £13 each.... for Canoeing screws... I'll find others for far cheaper!

Screws sourced from Mazda direct, as they came in at a whopping £0.64 each I've ordered a second set as no doubt when I need them again they'll be rocking horse prarrie canoe. Turns out the rear discs were too small and not vented, euro car parts have the correct ones on their website and after putting a request in with their "special request parts department" they came back with nothing... luckily a helpful chap at work suggested googling interchangeable parts, turns out the discs are a factory fit for some Mitsubishi cars too. Found a new website which appears to be ace for hard to find parts, we'll see when the discs arrive. www.autodoc.co.ukSo I had some fun with my favourite tool today (well second favourite) the mighty impact driver! Tappedy tapped some rounded off front disc to hub screws and removed the rusty discs using the bolt which holds the spare wheel in, greatest most mind blowing invention ever! Placed the new ones on and put a new wheel on but can't really finish it off until the screws arrive.

Can't really tell from the pic but the fronts fill the arches really well, haven't had the backs on yet as I'm still waiting for the rear discs.
I know, I need to get the wheels refurbed, it's on the list but quite far down!
Up next was grinding off a front wing hanger bolt, that came off easily enough, then struggled to get the front wing on, then struggled to fit a bit of plastic in the engine bay (2 screws). Got fed up and went home.
Tomorrow will hopefully end with both wings back on properly and the front bumper. If the weather is nice I'll crack on with the downpipe. If I'm lucky those screws will arrive and I can get the front brakes finished and wheels on. If I'm feeling prarrie canoee I'll just bend the exhaust off the rear bumper and see if she starts again, admittedly I haven't tried again after the flames and we'll have to have another fire extinguisher at the ready

I wouldn't have bothered with the screws. On all my cars with them I've just thrown the broken ones away and run without. They're only there to stop the disc flapping about when you take a wheel off.

I read up before I bought them, read conflicting reports, for the sale of a few quid I went for it.
How satisfying is it using the spare wheel clamp screw though? AWESOME

the weather was terrible on Saturday, I arrived to work on it and it just wasn't possible. Ive had an email this morning to say the screws are now on route and probably being delivered tomorrow. I managed to take the incorrect discs back to euro car parts on Saturday too, new ones yet to arrive.

Finally some more work on the 7! Still waiting on the rear discs turning up, should be next week, in the mean time I got the fronts sorted. Massive thank you to Horney as I'd be still at it if it wasn't for your knowledge! Front discs on with the new screws, brake pads out of the 4 pots and wound back to get the pads back in and over the new discs. Finally the wheels went on! Yay! Then I finally got round to fitting the wing, turns out the black one I bought for a tenner was bent as Canoe so bashed the old one back into shape and refitted that, front bumper still needs fitting properly and the door catches the wing when it opens but I can live with it until I can get another

Rear brake caliper pistons wont go back in the caliper and I've found a hole in the rubber boot anyway so I've just ordered new. When they turn up on they'll go.
Brand new door mirrors have been ordered, £160 but genuine and in primer, they're £200 each direct from Mazda so they're actually pretty cheap. Unbelievably...
Interior is pretty much done.
Oil cooler still needs a small bracket making. Shouldn't take long.
Battery terminals are in progress.
New battery ordered and on the floor in the office at Skuzzle.
Exhaust has been fixed as best I can. Need to get the ECU map looked at as it's just over fuelling massively.
New fog light ordered and already in the workshop.
Fingers crossed I get the M14ATA fixed tomorrow and the calipers turn up so I can get it finished
