Oooops. Spun it and end up nose first 3 feet into in a hedge. Luckily damage is limited to some scratches that should polish out and some missing paint on he front nose. Proper annoyed at myself b cause Inwas being a canoe and skidding it about. Oops indeed! Could have been worse. |

Investigating some paintless dent removal firms to tidy it up.
Went on an eBay session and currently traveling through the mail system I have an RX8 wiper stalk and some RX8 yellow dot ARBS.

Variable speed intermittent wiper stalk from RX8 fitted. 5 minute mod and already proved useful.
Headunit fitted. What a ball ache! The surround I bought fits badly and the patch leads needed modifying to get the Bose and the steering wheel controls to both work.
Annoyingly forgot to plug the heater controls back in so had to pull it all out again. Then realised I've left the resistor lead for the Bose out and on Skuzzles desk. Means it distorts at high volume. Looks like it's coming out AGAIN! Lol.

So yeah. Turns out that the Frankenstein loom me and Skuzzle made actually had two sets of resistors in. Removed one set and proper volume restored with no distortion. It's now Canoeing loud and my ears are actually ringing from the drive in this morning. I don't think I've ever had such a loud and clear sound system in any car I've ever owned, I've built some pretty good systems back int he day as well. The Bose set up really does sound incredible with an aftermarket head unit. Dead chuffed.

Not updated this in a while so here goes. Went to a new years day meet, got snapped. Much fun ensued with fitting kits and a million wiring loom adapters for the BOSE and wheel controls. Sounds immense now though and the functionality is just brilliant.
