Depends on one issue I potentially have, which is clearance. If we're all good then I'll be there. I'll know by this afternoon.

Lol Lifted MX-5 by Chris Oldham, on Flickr Rubbing a bit, heat gun and a mallet needed. However rain has stopped play for now, boo. This is without a lift kit, just mk2 shocks, a mate is getting me some 10mm top mount spacers made up which will raise it more. May get a lift kit if I fancy even more height after that. Probably about 8-9 inches sump clearance at the moment. Can't wait to drive it, but needs some "massaging" with a mallet first.

Haha thanks, it will be when it's done! Lips need rolling near the sill. Rear bumper cut, FPM rear bash bar, light bar and sump guard on front, cut down front wings (which are insanely rusty by the way!). Then maybe repaint it some industrial colour. It's stupid but it'll be a laugh when it's actually driveable.

LOL
That is crazy!
I could have done with that after grounding out while exploring some local byway the other day lol
Won't it bump-steer like a biatch, though??

No idea on bump steer, only test driven a few hundred metres. Rears catch on the sill part of the arch lips on compression up hills and under turning load, so it's grinder time tomorrow! Steering feels weirdly light though!
Hmmm 5 Fest is a long way on very loud all terrains hahaha.
Yeah seen his and chatted to him a bit. He used a lift kit whereas I haven't. His sits higher than mine, but I think with the top mount spacers I'll be happy without a lift kit and then I can still use the anti roll bars without having to super strain the droplinks or get custom ones.

Love to see how the suspension looks from underneath

Love to see how the suspension looks from underneath You don't want to see the underneath of my car haha. It's just mk2 suspension mate, nothing fancy at all. It sits the arms at a bit more of an angle than standard mk1 suspension but nothing mental.

Another angle here: IMG_20180827_162315 by Chris Oldham, on Flickr I've cut, I've banged (giggidy), I've taken an angle grinder to it, a Dremel, a mallet, a heat gun. It's getting closer, it's driveable if you're careful but still getting some scrub. Need the 10mm spacers 100%, then a bit more cutting and fettling and it'll clear everything. Initial impressions from my slowish drive home from my parent's place: gearing feels different, longer. It seems to handle fine. The tyres sound like howling wind at 30mph onwards. It doesn't feel wrong, but I've not pushed it at all yet, but it seems to drive how you would expect. It's way comfier over bumps and on uneven roads. I'm going to miss the 13s and HSDs but this is a new direction that has its own benefits. Currently 8 1/2 inches clearance to sump, and 7 1/2 on the rear at the rear brace area. Not bad for just mk2 shocks. Once the spacers are on that'll rise to 9 inches and 8 inches which will be awesome.
