Yep, I really loved it but it needed more time spending on it than I have at the moment. I'll get another one at some point but it went at the same time as 4 or 5 other projects ... I'm trying to be a bit more sensible! I want photos of the porker now I'll get some added soon ... Russell |

Been working on the MX5 ... old engine has been taken out, and sold. Managed to find a Blink stage 2 engine, TBs and ecu ... currently sat under the workbench while I sort the running gear, but at least the power unit is sorted for when I'm ready to rebuild
Front subframe, suspension and wishbones, steering rack and arbs removed along with the rad ... so the engine bay is looking more than a little bit empty!
Balanced the gearbox, prop and PPF on some blocks so I don't have to move them around ... then dropped out the exhaust, rear subframes, suspension, Diff, driveshafts, arb and wishbones ...
That's all due to be resold and I have a full Mk2 setup ready to go in ... all fully refurbed and with poly bushes, Racing Beat tubular arbs, adjustable drop links etc.
2 jobs to do before I can start rebuilding ... 1 - clean up and sort all the surface rust under the car and investigate the dodgy looking area at the front of tge passenger footwell. May well be old, repaired crash damage but I'll go back to solid metal and find out what's under the undersea. 2 - choose which set of shocks to use ... the track tuned Ohlins or the Quantum Zero.two shocks. Nice decision to have to make!

Slight change of plan ... looks like I'm going to break the car and sell it for spares ... I've got another (non mx5) project I want to get into and it's the usual story, It's worth more in bits than it is complete.
Will put an ad up once I have worked out what I have and what It's worth

Sold a fair few parts now, and sold my track car as well. Managed to do a part ex against an RS Limited that needs a load of work, so at least I still own an MX5 ... and this one has an MOT!

The RS needs a lot of work but I'll do a bit at a time and keep improving it. Main thing is, it works so I can drive it whenever I want! Russell |

Going through a bit of a groundhog day ... RS is being sold and my track car is coming back ... what I'll do next is anybody's guess but I may well buy a cheap Mk2 and transplant everything across to get the track car on the road?

New car ... take 2 ... The RS has gone, to a good home where it will be properly renovated. So that left a space, which was quickly filled by this!!  It's a G Limited with a few nice bits ... a fair bit of rust and a broken shock. Hoping the rust isn't too bad but I can see filler in quite a few places so this may well end up being a donor for my shell! Russell |

More progress, so things are falling in place ... my shell is back, so I'm back up to 2 ...  Or 3 ...  The rough plan is to transfer the best bits from the 2 other cars onto my shell, and put it back on the road ... No timescale set as I have other priorities at the moment Russell |
