Joking aside, that’s a pretty ingenious setup in the reliant

Are the Reliants front or rear wheel drive? I'm slightly struggling to see how the power is transferred to the wheels when the engine is not central to the car, lol, but I guess it's just those clever joints that operate at all angles (universal joints??). I'd like a go in it - it seems very reasonably priced!

I'm slightly struggling to see how the power is transferred to the wheels when the engine is not central to the car hardy-spicer driveshaft joints have a good amount of deflection, people in mx5 world seem to believe propshafts must be straight standard kitcar / bike engine practace is to remove the drive-sprocket (from the bike engine) and replace with a drive-flange then a conventional propshaft can be connected. this usually has the engine turned 90* from its motorcycle orientation. to me the fitting of the engine in the passanger footwell answers the question of easy fittment in the Reliant body / chassis as it saves trying to push the engine in from the side or below the dashboard assembly has been removed so it would have been east to more centrally mount (& maybe slightly more foreward?) it? there must have been reasons -maybe to ballance the drivers wieght? Reliant rolling chassis for example. easy to try & understand from a distance bet it was a giggle to drive though Rich.

Not an expert, but is this what they mean when they say 'separate the head from the block'? lol (found on Pistonheads)

This is pretty mesmerising! Not sure I could do days at sea with nothing happening outside - the speed of the video is about the speed I could handle lol
