Nandi Bushell covering the drums on Everlong is just the most joyful thing in the world and there's nobody I don't want to share it with.
(This led to several more videos back-and-forth as Dave nicest-man-in-showbiz Grohl took up her challenge, but this first one is an absolute cracker in its own right.)
Okay, an 11 year old drum prodigy is all very cute and you probably don't feel the need to watch it but I beg you not to miss from about 3 mins in when, after a quiet passage, the drums come back in and you momentarily think "that's not on the original" and then realise you're hearing her, yelling in sheer joy, over the racket of her own drums as she gets so into the music. It's cheered up my entire week.

Was the lunar landing real? The first 6 were real but the one with Wallace and Gromit looks Photoshopped to me.

Thanks for that. There are some really good tips in there. I've repaired more than a few cables with similar Mil-spec connectors over the years (for broadcast use) and never came across the idea of winding in those little "service loops". That would have saved a lot of heartache though of course it needs to be done in the original construction to be available to make the repairer's life easier. To be fair, I have actually done similar with a circular 26 pin plug - started at the centre with the wires longer than needed and zigzagged those shorter as I put in the next circle of shorter wires. Felt like I was improvising a cheat though; didn't know it was a thing. And I like those neat heatshrink solder loops for tagging a wire onto the outer screen of a cable. Wish I'd known they existed before.

Don’t mock him, that’s his knew dry sump oil reservoir with remote petrol driven scavenge pump, note the space saving installation 😉
