What are your winter plans?
My list looks like this:
Fit BC Coilovers Fit racing beat manifold Wheel alignment Remap for manifold Rodders pads for rear brakes Properly bond on Carbon Miata spoiler Source and for a front lip
I’d also like to get the nose and wings painted to remove the dings. Not sure on budget for that tough.

Get it moved from my parents place up north into my garage once we're moved into our first home.
Too much to list for the car altogether, but the main bits: Fit Front wings/bumper Underseal Mop/Polish/Wax Water Pump/Timing Belt/Service MOT
Might struggle once the decorating starts.

I had planned to go mad with engine mods but getting anyone to commit to the project and clearly define what they are going to achieve and how they are going to get there seems difficult and as my car failed on rust this MOT I’m not sure how long is left, so I am going one of two ways.
Do nothing, uncover in Feb, demould and race next year with new rubber.
Or
Scrap it, build kit, currently working on a workshop for myself to start this task, seem a big project in itself.

I'm kicking my heels waiting to see what the Rocketeer V6 kit turns out like. Their timeline has slipped a couple of months so far and I wonder if it can still be a winter project for this winter. Got the whole MP62 kit from my previous Mk.1 boxed in the garage, waiting to see if I'm going to refit it or sell it on to fund new-style fun and high jinks. Also considering Crapengineering's KL V6 conversion but this will be a (summer) daily driver and I think ITBs might be a bit manic and wearing for everyday commuting. If only they had a manifold option for us old men.

Have hardtop, off side wing and front bumper resprayed ( partly funded by my brother inlaw who reversed into me)
Another session with a pot of gear oil/paintbrush underneath the car (if we manage to get another dry day before winter sets in)
13 inch steel mini wheels and 1.6 front brakes (trying to talk myself out of this idea though as only just replaced the old wheels)
Sort the wiring for the heater fan so I have more than two positions
New door/window seals (bloody expensive for what they are but hey)

Not limited to:
Clean then fit rx7 seats
Fit harnesses & eye bolts
Retrieve my ITBs from Sir Horn and work out how to make them do a bwaaaa
Get tyres on the Black Racings, add maybe 15 or 20mm spacers to match the form of the E30 BBS, paint/lightly refurb them
Work out why I seem to have a passenger side leak
Start a bloody progress thread on here!
General service, plus change all fluids

Rust Failure on a MK3? Blimey. My plans- Get under it & do this... www.rejel.com/dinitrol-mazda-mx5-rust-proofing-litres-kit/Also cambelt, waterpump, service etc. Anyone know if a coolant re route is possible without removing the engine from a MK2?

Well, I sold my last Roadster in July to buy another in the same spec, just with some nicer bits and, more importantly, nicer paint!
- Have tyre valves replaced this weekend - fit GCF side mounts when they arrive - change ‘box and diff oil - coolant change - source decent white / yellowish sidelight bulbs, do not like current blue / purple items - remove rear guards - get courtesy lights working - new discs & pads - change brake fluid to ATE
Something like that.

280Z Plans
- Cobra Classic RS Seats - Fix rattling heatshield in the most impossible place to get to in the world. - Fit new radio / tidy up centre console - Straighten steering wheel (some numpty put it on slightly off centre...) - Steering rack bushings
Then I don't know. Should probably service the front brakes at some point, but they feel pretty good right now for an old car. I still want a short shifter kit, but that involves taking some interior trim out, which I'll do when I fit the stereo anyway.
