Happy with how you got on at Abingdon? Was a great weekend. Came 2nd in the CM class by 0.02 sec. I was abit slow on Abington but nailed it on Bentley when I sussed out that most people were braking at the turn boards which were too early IMHO. Time was 106.66 before the handicap was applied. |

Good day at Combe today & the Europcar parts Brembo discs worked well along with the shaved RS3s.
Came 2nd in CM class with a 65.03 after HC applied.

Went for a bit of a blast Sunday & discovered the clutch slipping in higher gears. That’s a real pain in the rear canoe as I’m out at Goodwood on the 6th October & was hoping to do well as it’s one of my favorite tracks.
So, a call to Skuzzle as soon as they open Monday morning & Mark confirms the have the bits in stock, 180 miles later & the bits are back home waiting to be fitted...
Made a start last night- exhaust off, ppf off, speedo drive disconnected & rev switch, prop shaft off, gear linkage off.
It was pretty oily down there & the prime suspect is the rear crank oil seal, luckily one was ordered for today.

Epic week working on the car & going to work too.... Clutch & Flywheel went on easily once everything was off.... Fitted IL Motorsport engine mounts with engine (& SC) in situ but gearbox off- complete PITA but doable. Had to reweld a couple of exhaust mounts & replaced the rear crank oil seal & seems to be ok. Finished 8.45 pm Friday night, just in time to go to Goodwood for the sprint. Came 2nd & crunched the car a bit but nothing that can’t be repaired. ![]()  ![]() |

Saw the pics FB! Glad its sortable fairly easily I hope. Great circuit. well done on second place.
Long off season ahead for me now. Plenty of bits to sort over winter. Might do the Leaders championship next season.
