Which clutch did you have previously? I have a lightly used Helix Autosport / P5 clutch & SPEC pressure plate somewhere which you are welcome to if you want it (and I can find it!). Pedal feel was very good (light) and it held up with 280BHP.

So, I found a few things out. These engines are pretty tough. There is very little wear in my engine considering that it gets put through its paces quite a lot. The cam belt was shockingly slack, in fact, I don’t know how it hadn’t skipped a tooth on the belt. Also, the con rods had seen better days…… but the engine was still running fine with no knocks or vibrations, but….. It just turned itself undersquare for more revs. That is not a mechanical failure, thats machine ambition!

I remember having quite a chat with Leigh when I picked it up & told him what I was going to be doing with the car. The previous Skuzzle clutch did 20,000 miles. Let’s hope the stage 4 clutch lasts longer than the 89 version.🤞🏻
