I'm actually thinking of taking my clip off temporarily to get better results tuning the sub-atmospheric parts of my map!

Oh, by the way, I’ve gone to the darkside & got hold of a windows laptop and got MEITE talking to my ECU. Standby for ‘I’ve cocked up my map posts’…..😁

thought that was for megasquirt & speeduino Rich. me221 hasn't got its own log viewer system, there's no integration, you have to use another solution to backport VE analysis.

Did a sprint a couple of weeks ago & despite bleeding the brakes a couple of times, I still am struggling with the brakes. Thought I’d try a willwood 4 pot caliper with Supermiata alloy bell disc. Impressed with the quality of the kit from 949 & was pretty straightforward to fit. The only slight pain was getting the C clips off the fitting where the flexible hose meets the hard line fitting. Plenty of clearance to the wheel. b

I've tried bleeding mine the manual 2 person way multiple times, but there always seems to be some air left in the system. Only solution was putting in to a garage to vacuum bleed. If you find a decent solution/product let me know!

If you find a decent solution/product let me know! Touch wood, mine bled fine- did both sides of the caliper as per zoona’s thread. The little bleed nipple is an odd size 6.25mm, luckily a friend of mine had the right size. I guess it’s an imperial size. Pedal feel is hugely improved. I went for the road pad as I need them to work without any warm up.

After realizing there were two nipples… mine bled ok too. however if anybody has a vacuum bleed system that works well I’d be interested too… The US loves their bloody imperial stuff. I held off for a long time, but I’ve had to buy a load of new tools. Why would you put imperial fittings into a bloody metric car? Insane. glad you like the brakes.

I, and I suspect Zed too, have more imperial sized tools than metric, nobody wants or needs them anymore. Gone are the days when one could strip any car or motorbike with a 1/2”x 9/16” AF spanner. The Industrial Revolution was driven by coal and Imperial sized tools.

It turns out the road pad choice was a bit of a mistake. I got the brakes really (really!!!) Smokey last night on a spirited drive to see what they were like. All ok today but I think I’ve found a replacement in the Ferodo DS2500. I use these to great effect on my TVR which is about the same weight & at just over £100, they’re a lot cheaper than some of the more exotic pads on the market.

We use UNC UNF and Metric corear canoe and fine BSPP BSPT NPTT and NPTP at work, great car has to be made to use matching threads on stuff that has 400 bar working pressure.
At home I have AF Whitworth/BSF and Metric as well as BA spanners.
