Did the nearside strengthening arm last night, only took a couple of hours to completely do. The kit fitted perfectly with no issues at all. Drivers side this morning...

They look like they are the business! I've got the Whiteline version that's not as substantial as those. I've no before data to compare with so interested to see what you think.

Other side done, had to do a minor rust repair on the bottom of the wing so took a fraction longer.

The Paco braces look great! If you want a decent rust preventative, I can highly recommend POR 15. I did one of the arches on my car today - post photos on my build thread tomorrow.

Hmmm, we have a problem... Out for a short test drive today & the SC starts making a noise. Not a good noise either, so I limp the car home & diagnose bearing failure. prarrie canoe. So, spent a few hours this afternoon removing it & whilst doing so found that all the mounts that I had not previously repaired had broken. Only the one that I’d fixed was holding..... The broken bits.... Luckily I’ve a friend who is a fabricator & is a coded welder so he should be able to fix the broken components.

Bloody hell Howard. Stress! Glad its getting fixed so quick! Good luck at curbs. Cheers! Oh & just to make life a little ‘easier’, my daily had to go back to the dealer for a fault but they had no loan cars available so I had to pinch my Mrs’ car to do all the running around in..... & I think I got busted for speeding in Salisbury.....

Well that was a complete effing disaster. I’ve decided to leave it 10 days to post an update....
The mounts were fixed by the guys at Guglielmi the next working day & refitted. The fixed SC from GTT was collected Thursday afternoon- they had replaced the snout bearings & packed the rear needle roller bearings with graphite grease.... I had to go to work Friday & didn’t get home till 330am Saturday so it was refitted later that afternoon. I gave it a gentle running in over a 40 mile local triangle to check that all was well, stopping regularly to make sure the temps were good & the belt alignment wasn’t an issue. All good, the SC was back to its old self of quiet running just the normal compressor whine.
Canoe Spheres, run out of time. More to come in the next thrilling installment.

The next thrilling episode—-
Got up early to get to Curborogh for the Scimfest figure 8 sprint, my usual rivals weren’t entered so it should’ve been a win & 25 points in the bag.....
Driving to the event, started to hear a familiar noise & it was not a good one... Canoe Spheres, the bearing that id asked to be fixed had failed. In less than 100 miles.
I’m no expert in the reconditioning of Superchargers so I thought by removing it & taking it to experts to test + refurbish, it would last a few seasons. Wrong.
What they did was removed the pulley, replaced the snout bearings & packed the rear needle roller bearings with grease & replaced the pulley.
On the drive home, although I was driving very carefully, the 3D printed mix manifold melted.
When I removed the SC again, the grease from the needle roller bearings was spread over the end of the rotor & over the intake end of the SC. The mix manifold is complete scrap.
I sent the SC back to be looked at.Again. Apparently, they can’t replace the needle roller bearings...... & suggested getting a new rotor pack off eBay .....
So now I’m left with a bust SC & no manifold.
I’ve used a company called Powerhouse in the past for SC refurbs so will give them a call when I get it back. Have emailed Nick at Scuzzle re a manifold but no response. Also emailed Salon about one of their outlets but again no response....... Will get back on it next week when I’ve got more time to chase people.
