Please don't put a bonnet scoop on that. It'll be far nicer without it. If you could get something like a GV? hood like here: http://instagram.com/p/BzfvKePHOoQ Or try and get something done that covers it up. Ali or Plexiglass rivetted to the bonnet ?

Thanks Wannabe for the pic uploads Also warm comments appreciated. I can only log on with my phone at the mo. It's been a while. More than a few issues to deal with. But getting very close now. Done but not photographed yet,or missed... Underside was cleaned and resealed. Butterfly brace fitted. Electric rear window now works (only been a few years haha). Car has been test driven on basic tune, after second AEM ordered from USA Honda tuner P2R (UK dealers we not ideal) hence two months wasted. Next... Super low profile new sump coming. Soon the sub frame will be the lowest part, rather than the sump. Which means no hassle or cost of a dry sump system. Phew! My wallet has been gang raped enough. Also for fun I thought it would be amusing to fit Powell Peralta skateboard rail sliders under the engine Then final rolling road tune up. Last time just made 300 on a warm day in the summer. Now it's clearly colder, so maybe a smidge more with the denser air? No idea, but place yer bets. Laser alignment booked in for my ideal set up again after changing the front end. Buying, modding, restyling, then possibly having a one off hood scoop moulded from unique moulds. Then painted silver to match. Although I'm open to bonnet ideas too... keep em coming. Nearly forgot... Also have to fit my smoothed rear panel and my modded ducktail (changed the shape myself). Both these were pro painted maybe 1.5 years ago, madly enough on a shelf since. Buy a new front bumper with zero holes or badge, get it sprayed and fitted. Will be much cleaner looking. Then new black tuner wheel nuts. Then... Nothing. Ever. Again. Annnnnd drive.......

Then... Nothing. Ever. Again. Annnnnd drive....... Until Supercharger, 500bhp, 15x9s, arch extensions... These were the other scoop pics it wouldn't let me upload earlier, lol: A riveted plexi scoop could be pretty awesome! I like the idea of skateboard sliders to get you over speedbumps, lol. I'm wondering if some sort of extra lip / rubber skirt on the bottom of the front bumper might be needed to cancel any front-end lift at speed, what with the ducktail likely to be pushing the rear down more!

But Plexiglass would be super-cool and have a Corvette feeling to it

How much are those GV hoods? Anyone sell them in the UK? My only concern is the bonnet bulge reduces down quickly at the front where I need the clearance. So it's 50/50 whether it would do the job. It would be a shame to have to cut it! If anyone knows of other hood options please post them

If anyone knows of other hood options please post them They're insane money, £600 ish to buy but then you need to try to find someone to ship it, and tax will be a load as well. I'd expect it to be over £1000 landed Not hard to make a custom bonnet. I'll see if I can find some pics but a fibreglass bonnet with a TVR bulge grafted into it should work I'll be interested to see how low the sump ends up ... if you're at 300bhp, that's going to be a stunning car! I have to admit I'd thought these swaps were a bit too much of a compromise but it looks like you've worked through the issued and sorted them out ... I might have to look back at this as an option again! Russell

If you're feeling rich custom carbon bonnet would be cooooool... but GRP would likely be much cheaper!

I am feeling poor! So stuff your lovely carbon temptations Brand new front bumper ordered. Should be here tuesday. Will drop off to painters straight away after filling the badge hole. Will clean the front up hugely. I will mock up my idea for covering up the back section only of the Holley later / when I get a chance. Will be soooo nice only having cosmetics to do soon.

It might be better if the scoop extended all the way back to the windscreen.
I'm still interested in bonnet ideas too. So we will see
ps
Wow, so many options in your link. Cheers Wannabe. Although all will need to be modded to fit. So kinda thinking just get something quickly from the UK, hack it up, restyle it, maybe clay mould it and get a new mould made.
Or the umbrella idea.

Yes that looks like the bulge does come closer to the front than the others. Although it's a tad fat looking!
