ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN I cannot wait for this film Choo choo! Watched it with my 5 year old this morning. She was super excited (as well). The whole timeline thing is going to be difficult to explain though.

I loved EPVII, it had it's faults but disney had to play it safe to reboot the franchise. I'm excited for Rouge One and I think that EPVIII and IX will please the critics of VII. Im looking forward to "ROUGE One" is that where Luke Skywalker has very red cheeks!! Sorry!!!

Hardcore Henry: 6/10
Completely mental motion-sickness-inducing 1st person shoot-em-up in Russia, no holding back. I quite enjoyed it!

Rogue One: 8/10 loved it, was brilliant, not perfect though but seldom few films are. there was one 10/10 moment near the end involving Vader.
Lego Batman: 7.5/10 really good, lots of smile worthy throw backs to much older generation Batman films/tv shows. although the alfred character i feel was made way too stereotypical "British" which let it down for me.

Latest Jack Reacher film.
6/10. Not as good as the first and the whole thing was very easy to gues what came next. Good brain out popcorn movie though. Tom Cruise is looking old!

Arrival.
7/10 nice take on sci fi. Reminded me of Contact in some ways. Lots of messy dreamscapes, etc.

Under the Skin.
Much weirdness. Awesome cinematography. Good soundtrack. Scarlett Johannsen (spelling?) gets her kit off.
Underrated IMHO so I recommend a watch.

Deepwater Horizon: 9/10. I know the film got stlated for being somewhat dramatised but it still told a good story that needed telling - and it told it well.
Battleship: 7/10. Once you get over the fact the entire film/premise is utterly ridiculous, the plot is barly worthy of a basic computergame, and it's an 'awl amurican patriot navy' type film it is a lot of fun. They fight aliens while using a WWII battleship to an AC/DC soundtrack. What's not to love? (Apart from the acting...)

Arrival. 7/10 nice take on sci fi. Reminded me of Contact in some ways. Lots of messy dreamscapes, etc. Reminded me of Contact too. Then made me want to watch Contact cause that was actually a decent movie. Didn't like Arrival at all!

Good idea.
I watched split recently. It was brilliant there was a good depth to the story too. Not just some random psycho with split personality. Its deeper than that. Its a sci fi suspense horror. Very very good! Makes you think.. What if?..
