A thread to review films new and ld that you've watched recently.
Fantastic 4 (2005) - Netflix.
Not as good as the other Marvel stuff but not bad. Jessica Alba is awesome eye candy as Susan Storm.
6/10

I was surprised how good that was due to it not really getting much of a push in the cinemas.

John Wick was really good ... not sure about 10/10 though ... I've had so much lazy these last few days so I watched loads ... The Martian - Really fun film, kept me entertained. Not nearly as good as Interstellar though ... watch that if given the choice between the two. 8/10 Guardians of the Galaxy - Seen this so many times, easily the best Marvel film for the soundtrack alone. 9/10 Lost in Translation - This remains one of my favourite films. I love the sense of disconnection and random japanese antics. Also the soundtrack. Also Bill Murray. Also Scarlett Johansson butt cameo. 9/10 think I might go watch Taxi now ... the french version naturally

I've never seen lost in translation. I really must. Just stick the subtitles on... Re your first post, Susan Storm is possibly the hawtest super heroine there has ever been.

The original taxi and taxi 2 were good, after that they just got a bit too silly. Interstellar was a long watch, did enjoy it but can't really remember much about it other than being inside a bookcase? Leon / GoldenEye / 5th Element for their Eric Serra soundtracks, plus Milla Jovovich

I thought John Wick was good but couldn't give it 10/10 - 8/10 perhaps. I think they're doing a sequel? Black Widow in AA does it for me for the hottest superhero - or maybe Coby Smulders as agent Maria Hill in the same film. Wonder Woman's entrance in the Bat vs Super trailer is just Canoeing epic!! Never knew it was coming, never saw it coming - much like Spiderman in Civil War. Who has made the best entrance/cameo to a film/franchise? Watchmen was the biggest surprise to me (if you're familiar with the graphic novels) as I thought that was excellent. Great soundtrack, also. Avatar - for all its effects - just fell flat for having a self-canoe storyline that we've heard a million times. Goosebump moments seem to surround the Millenium Falcon, both in IV coming out of the sun at the end of the movie and seeing it for the first time in Force Awakens. The Lotus Esprit in Spy Who Loved me for my favourite cinematic stunt of all time. This may be because I was 7 at the time. Head rolling out of the bottom of the boat in Jaws for scariest moment ever. Think I saw that when I was 7 too - the therapy bill ran into thousands...

I've never seen lost in translation. I really must. Watch it before you go to Japan, then watch it when you get back and wish you were still there. We went and had drinks and nibbles in the Park Hyatt on our last night because of Lost in Translation. DC still hasn't gotten over the cost of it...
