New account here but I've been into MX5's for a good few years. I was 'mk1_salami' on Nutz a few years back. The aim of this car is very much 'if Carlsberg made MX5's. I don't want a stripped out race car, but somewhere pleasant to sit in, which is incredily fun and most importantly, bulletproof. I'm in a '94 Eunos 1.8 with some (ok lots) of mods:
Engine:
VVT Swap, Built Engine:
Supertech pistons, Wiseco rings
Maxpeeding Rods
ACL race bearings
ARP main studs, head studs
Boundary billet oil pump for VVT
ATI super damper
Standard head (for now, but looking to add stiffer springs)
Transmission:
PPF delete. K-Miata B.M.W. (the forum wont let me type this!) e46 6 speed conversion with Cadillac CTV diff and upgraded half shafts
MS3 PRO PNP Ecu (great to control electronic boost control, and traction control. I have a rear speed sensor on the propshaft and need to get round to installing a front wheel speed sensor, which will allow traction control and boost by gear to be set up.)
Water Injection kit cobbled together from left over Aquamist parts from my previous cars.
GTX2860R Gen 2
Kraken manifold & 3 inch exhaust
ID1050 Injectors
LS V8 (d585) truck coils
949 Racing 6UL 9 Inch Wheels with 225/45/15 tyres
Sport 1.8 brakes (for now)
Recaro SPG bucket seats with ASM harnesses
GC fab roll bar
Mk2.5 dash swap
AIM MXS 1.2 Strada digital dash
Nardi wheel
Meister Coilovers (I forgot which type)
The engine is recently built so I need to run it in fully and hit the dyno, but looking for somewhere around 350-400 bhp in a reliable package, hence the money thrown at the built engine and drivetrain upgrades!
Please ignore the messy engine bay and the squashed coolant reroute / intake pipe - I am getting there slowly and will have it tidied up eventually.
