So, I think this might be one of the best purchases I have made to date.
A guy I follow on Instagram messaged me asking about Bluebirds as he fancied one this summer. I spoke to him for a bit and mentioned mine was for sale. I'd literally just bought my new 107 daily 2 weeks before, but he offered me his Yaris T Sport as a straight swap for the Bluebird. I slept on it for about 15 minutes and then we decided to meet up half way to look over the cars.
He loved the Bluebird, I loved the Yaris, so we swapped there and then.
Here it is:
It's a 2005 T Sport in Thunder Grey.
111k miles
12 Months MOT
Grooved front discs and upgraded pads
Lowering springs
Rear tints
Lovely sounding stainless exhaust
TTE rear spoiler
Bluetooth headunit and upgraded speakers throughout.
It drives lovely, averaging about 38mpg according to the on board trip, and it goes plenty well enough for a daily, very happy with the swap.
Only complaint is the seat sits a bit too high for me, luckily it came with a Subaru bucket seat and Sparco rail, it'll need adapting to fit, but I should sit a couple of inches lower which is what I really need:
It'll also came with a brand new Whiteline rear ARB, but one of the brackets was wrong. So I did drilled it out last night and got it fitted:
It has really helped with body roll on corners, it handles great. A mate of mine took it for one drive yesterday and he loved it, he's now selling his daily CMax and planning to get one too haha.
So it was very shortlived, but the Bananamobile 107 will be for sale very soon as I'm keeping the Yaris as my daily. If anyone is interested it's got 12 months MOT, £20 a year tax, and does about 55mpg. Plus it is YELLOW:
