That's a good quality cam! Yep, I'm amazed. It's one of the Go pro copies. I can't say which one as it was a gift so I don't know! They retail around £35, and come with a plethora of mounts & a waterproof case. Fantastic bit of kit, and if it falls off the car and breaks.. well it isn't £200+ up the spout. Here's a quick cut of my return trip from work today, mounted it right down low in the Bumper. Very C'était un Rendez-vous Style. Just need to get back onto the continent, and overdub it with a Mercedes soundtrack trackiebear454 told you I was close to the old flocker.

I have one of these in my 5: A118 B40 Novatek 96650 AR0330I've been pretty happy with it so far, never lost any footage, and the quality is clear enough to read numberplates easily both during the day or at night. Here's some example footage I took a couple of weekends ago (nothing interesting happens by the way!). The image quality is actually better than it looks here, all the pixelation you can see here is from YouTube, not the camera. Also the rattling sound you can hear is because I had accidentally dislodged the camera from the plinth that attaches to the windscreen. It's designed to clip in and out easily so you can remove the camera for security purposes. Anyway, might be useful info for someone looking at dashcams. As Ghostrider mentioned, I can also recommend Techmoan on YouTube - he has reviewed loads of cameras on there and is where I found out about mine. Also, if you're interested in that sort of thing he also does reviews on old hifi tech which are pretty entertaining. Glad you said that, I'm looking at buying one of those for Sue's 5 next month.

So I got a new dashcam. It's actually pretty good! It's this one if anybody wants to do a buy. Here's the quality, and my first lolz video from it.

That cam looks good! How have you mounted it? Just stuck under the mirror?

It comes with some cut to size 3M tape. And just stuck it behind the mirror, will grab a pic in the morning. I'm quite pleased with the quality, so much better than my other one!

From the outside.. Bare in mind this is me trying to get an angle you can see it. Otherwise it's pretty hidden! How it's mounted And how it looks from in the car

Interesting, your dashcam seems to be identical to mine, although mine had a different manufacturer name

There seems to be many different manufacturers of the same internals/externals. My main search was for a Novatek NT96650 Chipset + Aptina AR0330 Lens. And one that used a capacitor instead of a battery.
