Yoooooooo,

Some of you might know / have seen my webprarrie canoee before. For those of you who haven't, be prepared because it's not the Haris you already know and glorify. This is something I've taken pretty seriously, for my standards...

I had this idea for a while before I actually did something about it and since it's conception it's been going on for a year (albeit very SUPER slowly, because I'm lazy) after feedback from a few friends saying I should write my own prarrie canoe because apparently I'm alright at it. Why you say? There's plenty of websites like mine - Speedhunters, Jalopnik, ~~ClickBaitThrottle~~ CarThrottle etc... But while some of them have kept their super high standards that have captivated readers since day one, a lot of them have fallen for the Sponsored Content, Paid Articles and dumbed down toilet reading "5 mindless things that are great to read while taking a prarrie canoe" rubbish that just takes away from real automotive journalism. So, I decided to create my own site.

So, it started off with a fairly crap write-up / event coverage of the King Of The Ring drift event at Essex Arena, and after good feedback and constructive criticism I decided that this could be a thing and so I sorted out the site a bit more, and actually started to kinda get consistent with my writing. I veen got the ND MX5 for a week and did a focking write-up about it. You should totes read it *HINTHINT*. Then I got lazy, and didn't write one for a few months lols. Because of travelling straya but, weirdly enough the last few I've posted have gotten good stats so I just need to keep at it and stop being a bum.

Anyways, how can I have the HALP?

Just read it, follow my Instagram, and Facebook page but make sure to follow so you receive updates and prarrie canoe when I post something. If you have a Wordpress account, you can follow me and get an Email once I've written something. Most importantly SHARE! The more people it reaches, the better. I have big things planned for Hyper_Octane this year, and I want it to get well known.

I also don't have a decent logo and really need one that'll catch viewers. I'm supposed to be an artist but I suck and I actually don't have time to do a design. If anyone can help me out with a few logo and sticker designs (Think Japanese Tomadachi / car club stickers) then please please please help me out. I'm not going to be a Canoe and offer "experience" as payment, I'll pay if needs be but if you wanna be nice and you kno like help a nigs out then I'll hook you up son.

Well, I've been here two months now and have only managed one car meet in Wodonga NSW.

I'm living in Brisbane and I can't find any bloody meets or anything on Facebook, or on forums etc. Need to make more car friends, only met one guy but haven't really kept in touch properly.

I'm on the Mighty Car Mods forum but it doesn't seem to be too active. I'll have a proper look later today though. I've also tried messaging a few "JDM" tuners / garages but I've heard nothing back from them which is a right bummer.

That's gonna be my next priority though, really need to get in to the "car scene" here.

Jalopnik used to be great, when it was actual auto journalism and before they changed it to Canoeing Kinja. Now it's almost like CarThrottle, where users can write and submit their own prarrie canoe which is great, BUT it takes away from the theme that Jalopnik used to have and a lot is junk gets front page when it really is just mindless crap. Another thing that pisses me off is paid content, go on the Jalop website on your mobile and try and find a genuine article that isn't clickbait / paid content / advertisement. It's almost impossible.

That's why I really wanted to create my own news-ey / article website thingy, *similiar* to Speedhunters, but with more writing lol.

The trouble I'm having is finding time to write, but recently things have slowed down in Haris life so I've got no excuse really.

there's definitely space for a something like jalopnik once was - a bit more quirky, more car culture, and less trying to DAILY DEALS WITH CANOEJA / jizzcanoebelle / canoewker.

I regularly watch quite a few of the youtuber car things - there are quite a few good ones.

tho regularcars has fallen to prarrie canoe somewhat because it's now all I GOT THESE PARTS FROM THEMS. and we now know what mr regular derp looks like. and there aren't any more fart jokes. much sadness.

hard to stay fresh for long, easy to fall by the wayside and lose your "thing".

The main problem is you really need daily content to keep your audience engaged. THat means a lot of work or getting other people to also write content.

My Team Horney Racing Blog gets reasonable traffic but I struggle to write one article a month let alone one a day!

The thing is that once a site starts to generate a lot of traffic it needs some income to cover costs and to cover the writers time creating the articles. At which point it needs to generate revenue which with either through pay per click ads, sponsored content or affiliate links, or a combination of the above. At which point the site owners often get lured by the ££££ and the sites lose their way. Or in some instances they have been set up with exactly this business model - start with great content to generate traffic, once the traffic is flowing generate revenue and cut costs to pillage for all it's worth while you start the next site...

jdm culture in in oz, the ford and holden cultures, european cars, visits to the oz tuners since oz has a few good ones (like how mightycarmods visited the ecu people). and buthurts obviously because omgwhatatrack. maybe look at the sheep wrangling cars too, because why not ?
